What was that movie with the zombie dog called?

I don't remember much about the movie, just that the main character
was a little boy, and he had a white bull terrier (maybe with brown
spots?) that got hit by a car at some point (I think?) and he had to
bury him. But then the dog came back and was a zombie? The first movie
that pops into my head is Pet Semetary, but it doesn't have any bull
terriers in it. Could anybody help me out? I remember loving that
movie when I was a kid, and I really want to know what it was. xD
